How to link products from Everspring to Shopify
Everspring only updates and fulfills products that are linked to Shopify. This article explains the link statuses in your import list and shows the two ways to link a product — from Shopify or from your import list.

Before Everspring can keep a product up to date and route its orders, that product has to be linked — connected to the matching product in Everspring. Your import list is the source of truth; linking is what ties a Shopify product to it, so that two things happen automatically:
Everspring keeps the product updated in Shopify.
Orders are forwarded correctly to Everspring, so they can be fulfilled.
A product that isn't linked can't be updated or fulfilled through Everspring. You can link a product in two ways — from Shopify, or from your import list — and both do exactly the same thing.
Check the link status in your import list
In your Everspring import list, every product shows one of three statuses. This tells you at a glance whether it's ready to sell:
⚠️ Why this matters at order time. If a customer's order contains an unlinked product, Everspring can't process it. Fulfillment is blocked and Shopify shows error ESC-FUL-101, asking you to link the product first. Once you've linked it, request fulfillment again.
Method 1: Link from a Shopify product
Start from the product itself in your Shopify admin.
Open the product in Shopify. Go to Products and open the product you want to link.
Add the Everspring block. Scroll down to the blocks and add the block called Everspring product link.
Start linking. The block shows Unlinked with a Link to Everspring button. Click Link to Everspring.
Find the right product. You'll see "Search and select the Everspring product that should update this Shopify product." Search for the correct Everspring product.
Confirm the link. When you've found the right one, click Link product.
✅ Done. The product now shows as Linked. Everspring will keep it updated in Shopify, and any order for it is forwarded correctly.
Method 2: Link from your import list
This is the same action, started from Everspring instead of Shopify.
Open the unlinked product. In your import list, click Unlinked on the product you want to link.
Choose to link an existing product. You'll see two options: Link an existing Shopify product and Publish to Shopify again. Click the blue Link an existing Shopify product button.
Find the right product. Search for the correct Shopify product.
Confirm the link. When you've found it, a pop-up asks whether you want to link. Click Link product.
✅ Done. The product is now correctly linked with Shopify — the same result as Method 1, just started from your import list.
Which method should I use?
Either one — the result is identical. Use Method 1 when you're already working on the product in Shopify, and Method 2 when you're going through your import list in Everspring and spot an Unlinked product. Both connect the same Shopify and Everspring products.
