Disconnect or reinstall the Shopify app

How to cleanly uninstall the Everspring Shopify app — and what to do before reinstalling.

Before you disconnect

Uninstalling the Everspring app from Shopify stops all future syncing, but it does not automatically remove the products it has imported. Decide first what you want to happen to those products:

  • Keep them as regular Shopify products — do nothing before disconnecting. Prices, stock, and order routing will no longer update, and any existing EVR variant metafields become static data.
  • Remove everything Everspring imported — run a bulk delete of products tagged EVR-import before uninstalling. After disconnecting you lose the identifier and cleanup is painful.

If you have open orders routed through Everspring suppliers, finish those orders first. Disconnecting breaks status callbacks — you'll have to mark them fulfilled manually in Shopify.

Disconnect the app

  1. In Shopify, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels.
  2. Find Everspring in the installed apps list.
  3. Click the menu and choose Uninstall.
  4. Confirm.

After uninstall, the app's access token is revoked immediately. Everspring's systems register the disconnect within a few minutes and stop attempting syncs.

Reinstall cleanly

If you're planning to reinstall (for example after troubleshooting a persistent sync error):

  1. Uninstall as described above.
  2. Wait 5 minutes so Everspring can mark the connection as closed on our side.
  3. In your Everspring dashboard, open Integrations → Shopify and click Connect store.
  4. Walk through the OAuth install again. You'll land back in Shopify with the app reinstalled.
  5. Run a full product sync to restore metafields and tags.

What to expect after reinstall

  • Products that were previously imported are re-linked by SKU — they won't be duplicated as long as SKUs haven't changed.
  • Tags, metafields, and vendor fields are re-applied. If you edited those manually between uninstall and reinstall, Everspring will overwrite your changes.
  • Order routing resumes for new orders only. In-flight orders placed during the disconnect window stay manual.

When to contact support

Reinstall stuck on OAuth, products not re-linking by SKU, or order callbacks not resuming after 24 hours — open a ticket from your Everspring dashboard with your store URL and the timestamp of the reinstall.
