Installation guide for the Everspring Shopify App

Installing the Everspring Shopify app allows you to link your store with Everspring in just a few steps. This guide walks you through the full setup, from app installation to API key connection.


Part 1 Step-by-step: How to install the Everspring Shopify App

To successfully connect your Shopify store to Everspring, follow the steps below. This guide ensures that the app is installed correctly and securely linked via an API key.

Step 1: Navigate to the Shopify App Store

Go to the Shopify Admin dashboard and select "Apps" from the sidebar menu. In the Apps section, click on "Visit Shopify App Store."

Step 2: Search for Everspring

In the Shopify App Store, use the search bar to type "Everspring" and press Enter. Look for the official Everspring Shopify app in the search results.

Step 3: Install the Everspring App

Once you've found the Everspring app, click on it to open the app page. Then, click the "Install" button to initiate the installation process.

Step 4: Obtain and Save API Key

After installation, you'll need to set up the connection by entering the API key generated in your Everspring account. To create an API key, follow the instructions provided in this article on generating API keys.

Step 5: Save and Connect

Once you've entered the API key, click the "Save" button to secure the connection. Congratulations, you have successfully connected the Everspring app to your Shopify store!

Part 2: Everspring Product Sync: How We Determine Language for Titles and Descriptions

Currently, we support only Dutch, English, and German. If you select any other language in Shopify, we will automatically fall back to Dutch. That’s why it’s essential to ensure you have explicitly set one of these three supported languages as your store’s default.

Please note: only one of the three languages can be set as the store's default. This also means that we support only one language per shop.

How to change your language settings in Shopify

Follow these steps to update your Shopify language settings:

  1. Go to Settings in your Shopify admin.

  2. Click on Languages in the left-hand menu (see the first screenshot).

  3. To add a new language, click Add language in the top right (see the second screenshot).

  4. Choose one of the supported languages (Dutch, English, or German) and add it.

  5. Once added, click the three dots next to the language you want to use and select Set as default (see the second screenshot).

By doing this, you ensure that your product titles and descriptions are correctly sent in the chosen language.

Part 3: Should you choose automatic or manual fulfilment for your Shopify orders?

Everspring allows you to forward orders to fulfilment either automatically or manually. This article helps you understand both methods so you can choose what best fits your workflow.

 

💡 You can choose between automatic and manual fulfillment based on your preferences.

Automatic Fulfillment:

By default, orders with products designated as "Everspring Fulfillment" will be automatically processed. This means that once an order is placed, the app will automatically forward the order's line items to Everspring for fulfillment.

To set up automatic fulfillment:

  1. In Shopify, go to "Settings" and then select "Checkout."

  2. Scroll down to the "Order processing" section.

  3. Under "After an order has been paid," choose "Automatically fulfill the order's line items."

Manual Fulfillment:

If you prefer more control over the fulfillment process, you can opt for manual fulfillment. With this setting, orders will not be automatically forwarded to Everspring. Instead, you'll need to manually instruct each order to be sent to Everspring for fulfillment.

To set up manual fulfillment:

  1. In Shopify, go to "Settings" and then select "Checkout."

  2. Scroll down to the "Order processing" section.

  3. Under "After an order has been paid," choose "Don’t fulfill any of the order’s line items automatically."

  4. For each order you want to fulfill with Everspring, manually select and send the order to Everspring

By adjusting these settings, you can tailor the fulfillment process to suit your workflow, whether you prefer the convenience of automation or the hands-on approach of manual fulfillment.
