How can you add products to your Shopify shop using Everspring?

Want to add products to your Shopify shop with ease? This article explains how to do it automatically or manually using Everspring’s product integration features.

Section 1: Automatic Product Addition

How to Automatically Add Products via Everspring

To effortlessly add products to your Shopify shop, you can utilize Everspring's automatic product addition feature. Follow these steps:

  1. Add products to your catalog in Everspring.

  2. On average, the added products will appear in your Shopify store within 1 hour, with a maximum delay of 2 hours.

Important Points to Note:

  • The following fields are transmitted when the product is first created:

    • Content: images, titles, and descriptions (in the language of your Shopify shop)

    • Stock levels

    • Recommended Retail Price (RRP)

    • Purchase cost (excluding shipping)

    • SKU

    • EAN (if available)

  • Product content (titles, descriptions, and images) is only sent once and will not be overwritten. You can freely adjust this content in your Shopify shop without risk of it being updated later.

  • However, stock levels and purchase cost are updated automatically — these values are synchronized hourly to reflect current availability and pricing from Everspring.

  • The product connection is based on three fields:

    • SKU

    • Fulfillment set to "Everspring fulfillment"

    • Vendor set to "Everspring"

If these fields are modified, the connection breaks. If the product still exists in your Everspring catalog, it will be re-imported as a new product.

Note: The EAN field has no role in the connection process. You are free to edit or remove this value without impacting sync functionality.

Section 2: Manual Product Addition

How to Manually Add Products to Your Shopify Store

For situations where manual control is preferred, you can manually add products to your Shopify shop. Here's how:

  • Edit an existing product or create a new one in your Shopify shop.

  • Set the Vendor field to "Everspring" and the fulfillment to "Everspring fulfillment."

  • Fill in the SKU of the product as it appears in Everspring.

  • Add the product to your catalog in Everspring.

Since the product also has to be in your catalogue, a product will also be created through the automatic product addition. You can simply delete this product and continue with the manually added product.

This option is useful for converting existing Shopify products to Everspring, preserving SEO rankings, and maintaining control over specific details such as self generated content.
